as to other changes it seems that we

<blockga>Yes</blockga>
<au>off</au>

this stop the card looping and should stop the card burning out.
still need more info on the card.

I had a go using Apache14s tutorial and as you see below its working fine, I have just done it so will have to wait a few hours to get some feedback from my friends

Im not very savvy with NewCs, how do i go about looking at entitlements and card details etc?

Yes, I think there is a lot of false reporting about heat, all my cards are hotter in my original sky equipment than in my linux boxes.

I tred sharing to my Relook across my internal network, but with a cline in the relook Im getting a 2 second freeze about once a minute, if I use a Nline in the Relook it seems ok. Is this your experience too?

My System: Debian Lenny CCcam 2.1.2 + NewCS 1.67 ,dreamBox 500 dm600, compaq p4, 2gb ,4mb

Hi i have this all working now in a DM600 , thanks for most go to B16MCC for the box id changer.
works perfect,

Also big thanks to Nabilo the 1st to have newcs 1.66 + CCcam 2.1.1 in there addons for easy setup and install,

In your newcs.xml

1st enter box id
2nd change these to this

<blocksa>Yes</blocksa>
<blockua>Yes</blockua>
<blockga>Yes</blockga>

then re-add your your CCcam.cfg file
also add this n line to your CCam.cfg file

N: 127.0.0.1 10000 Nabilo NabiloPWD 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

the card runs warm not hot, this is normal for all NDS cards even in the original SŁy box, i have had a multi meter on the original box it 5.01volts and on the DM600 is less 4.98Volts if the voltage is suppress to less than 4.50Volts the card will no longer be read by the original box

remember

newcs =local
CCcam = hop 1
client = hop 2

hope this help as im now happy as it work up stair and down with no freez or lockup.

what i did find was when i got the message new card is on its way, CCcam started having problems with the blue card. this stopped after the white card was paired with the original box.

Wink New Sly UK White Card

OK guys, been in Menorca for the last week but home now. Glad to see there's been some activity in this thread. This morning I applied some of the findings and was successful. Here's a full run down of what I've done so far.

Installed NewCS 1.66 from blue panel on my DM7025.
Here's the config I'm using.

Code:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!--

For setup-issues, look in readme.txt!
If there are other troubles, try different forums or irc channels around :o)

The configfile are NOT case-sensitive, and shouldnt care about dos/unix cr/lf.

** This is the example file for Dreambox/TD etc. that use SCI interfaces.

</newCSconfig>
You'll see from that config I have a smargo setup too. I have not yet tried the card in the smargo. That's my next step. NewCS runs the card just fine in the internal reader. It does get a little warm but I don't think its hot enough to cause any problems.

Now, on my DM8000 I run CCcam only. I added this line to the config.

Code:
N: 192.168.123.100 10001 cccam cccam 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
So this showed up as below.

Ok, so far so good. The only channel I've tried so far is Sly Sports 1, and it worked just fine. You can see below the card is handling ecm's ok. SO far I have not seen any freezing but again I will test further.

And so the quest continues, things are looking good so far. More testing to follow.

My System: 28.2E ,7W, 13E Dm800HD x 4 DM600PVR x 2
Not getting it going

Hi
All I have read the posts and tried it all, but cannot seem to get it to work.
I have 2 x Sly HD boxes with box keys starting with 01 and not 00.

I am using Nabilosat v6 on my DM800. NewCS166 and CCcam2.11
I have installed the latest drivers for the DM800 so the internal card reader functions correctly.

If I run CCcam -d on the new white card, CCcam reports identical boxkeys for both cards.

If I use the old blue card, CCcam -d reports the boxkey correctly (same result as BOX KEY CONVERTER V1.3)

The white cards are paired to the boxes and work in the sly box, luckily the old blue card still works in my DM800, for now, will probably end in a few days,

I have tried using the old blue card boxkey and white card boxkey in the Newcs.xml. But still no joy. All the Blocks are set to Yes.

I have another white card that I am considering activating in a Sky+ (non HD box) with 00 serial to see if I have better luck with this.

Any Ideas?

Ok, you need to break down your testing here.

Does NewCS web interface see the card properly ?
Does it show CAID 0963 ?
Does it show entitlements?
If you're using CCcamphpinfo, you can see if its connected to NewCS or not.
If not, then its likely you have a config error, or the newcs server is not ready because its not reading the card properly.

Work through this and report back.

White Card.

Ok mate, that's my config I posted , it does work, however I notice you have your blocks set differently for top slot and bottom slot, make sure al 3 blocks are set to yes. I notice you're on a 500 so I think you're using parameters for top slot, sci1. Please someone correct me if I got that the wrong way round.

Also look in the blue/green/yellow panel (image dependent) to see what versions of NewCS / CCcam you are running. You need NewCS 1.66.

1.65 will cause problems.

should do mate.

NewCS 1.66 / CCcam 2.1.1 is on the Cams list when viewed from my DM8000. Not sure if nabilo's addons panel differs from box to box or maybe different for E1 and E2. Deepdiver will tell you that.

ok on nabilo download from the yellow panel (yellow x2) and instal newcs 1.66 + CCcam 2.1.1

on nabilo on DM500 and DM600 the config file posted above is no the same
it won't work as its for DM800 E2 image not an E1

first get your box id there so much info on this around using hex converter
second the LOWER card is the one we are after not the UPPER

this is what a working newcs from a DM500 looks like

My System: 28.2E ,7W, 13E Dm800HD x 4 DM600PVR x 2
White Card Sorted

Ok I got the white card working in one of my DM600's
Will try to do the same on DM800.

So this is what I did.

Put the Blue Card in my DM800 and did the CCcam -d and retrieved the Boxkey, but I could also simply have used the Box Key Converter.

Loaded a fresh Pli jade on my DM600 and downloaded and installed NEWCS1.66 + CCcam211.

Edited NEWCS.XML and added N: line to CCcam.Cfg

Checked the Softcam Panel Set NEWCS as Cardserver and checked the Cardinfo. NewCS showed entitlements and non premium channels cleared.

Back To NewCS.xml
and added the Correct Boxkey and set blocks to yes.
<mhz>357</mhz>
<export>Yes</export>
<enabled>Yes</enabled>
<blocksa>Yes</blocksa>
<blockua>Yes</blockua>
<blockga>Yes</blockga>
<boxkey>########</boxkey>

Also set <au>off</au>

And disabled <!-- <rate>2</rate> -->

Added a N: Line to Cccam.cfg and it reboot

It worked, all channels cleared

Funny thing though.

CCcam -d on the DM600 does not return a boxkey... but anyway as stated before I could simply have used the boxkey converter

No I want to figure out why the DM800 won't do the same even though I have done the exact same thing. Not urgent though as I now simply use the 600 as the cardreader for my DM800

NewCS 1.66 / CCcam 2.1.1 is on the Cams list when viewed from my DM8000. Not sure if nabilo's addons panel differs from box to box or maybe different for E1 and E2. Deepdiver will tell you that.

Creator of the CCCCC - only a true wizard could come up with such a name!!

Glad you got it working mate. Bare in mind this method is not yet proven 100% working. Its thought the card will not update, due to the EMM blocks, you'll have to put it in the sly box every month or so. Wait for uvadi to retort with the next release of CCcam and see what that brings.
