Regular loss of audio on 7025??

Hi guys,

I'm having a recurring problem with my 7025+ - the audio keeps dropping off completely now and again and the only way I seem to be able to get it back is a restart. This is very annoying, especially when there are recordings in progress which means a restart messes up the recording. Anyone experienced this problem? What could be causing the complete loss of audio?

I'm also having freezing problems when using my own legit sky card (blue card) and the RF out doesn't work either cos the sound is completely distorted, so I'm thinking at this stage that I've got a faulty box....

Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks

Check if you have selected AC3 as the default audio and unselect it.
Does this happen also with FTA channels?
No reason to suspect the hardware at this stage. Try a new reflash if nothing helps.

Hi HB13DISH, yes AC3 was set to yes so I've unselected it. Thanks, hopefully this'll sort it
Regards reflashing, I've flashed about 6 different platforms at this stage before settling with Blackhole through Nabilosat pureflash and this problem happened with all of them.

Let us know if this helps.
I use Gemini and I never had any audio problems.
But perhaps you have your reasons for using what you have now.
What about FTA channels?

Just one point from me. In the RF output settings I have to change frequency from 5.5 to 6Mhz . Otherwise I get no sound at all. Try this for your RF sound issues.

It's been going for a few days now with no problems. Only thing I did notice was lip sync problems between the sound and pictures on some pay channels. FTA channels are fine. However when there was a loss of audio before it was a complete loss of audio for all channels, including FTA.
My reason for using Nabilosat is the EPG, plus I find it the best general all round platform.

How do I do this? In my RF Output menu on the DM7025 it only gives options for :
Modulator - on/off
Channel: select channel number
Finetune: finetune bar

There is nothing for frequency. Is this elsewhere or is there an application for it? Cheers

If you don't see this option , then go to Setup, System, Customize, and select Setup Mode to Expert. Now return to your RF settings and you'll see the option.

Cheers mate, you just solved a lot of head scratching and bemusement. I should have really figured that one out myself!
