I just cant get it to work im having a nightmare any help would be great I can ftp to the box and all but i cant get the box to see the files on my pc Ive been trying for 6hrs with no luck THxs | ||

This realy depends on what version of VLC you have on your PC. I'm at work at the moment and the version I have installed is 0.98a Its really quite simple to get this working. However, you must select this setting or else you will get no where. Select 'HTTP Remote Control Interface' If you're using an older version 0.86 perhaps, the setting is the same name, but the interface just looks a little different. This is all you have to do in VLC on the PC. To connect to the PC from the Dreambox you have to leave VLC open on the PC. Next, just setup a server in the VLC plugin and start it. Thats it. | ||

I don't use Window$. I don't think it would matter though. Have you checked port settings in VLC and matches them in the plugin server setup ? | ||
