How to install CC cam server?

Dear all friends,

I am new dreambox user. I bought a dm500 from a shop. I can flash a newest image ( pli-jade-dm500-20090627) by Dreamup exe tool( using rs-232 cable). And then i want to install CCcam -2[1].1.2 . So , how to install CCcam -2[1].1.2? Can I install CCcam file by using rs -232 cable? Or can I install CCcam by using LAN port cable?
How to conect computer to dm500 from LAn port?

Thanks regards.

Can I suggest you spend the next 2 weeks reading the guides in here. You have an awful lot to learn by the sounds of it. Don't expect to have it working in the next day or 2.

Can I install CCcam file by using rs -232 cable?
No. A null modem cable is only used to flash the Dreambox with an image.

Or can I install CCcam by using LAN port cable?
Yes. If your Dreambox is connected to the Internet you can download it.

How to conect computer to dm500 from LAn port?
Connect both to the same router. See the Communication Setup part of the Idiot's Guide.

For a Direct PC to DM500 connection, use a crossover cable.
If your connecting via a router, switch or hub, use a patch cable (straight).
