I am currently trying to configure a server to run several cards for me and a few friends who have all purchased a card each but I am running into problems configuring the server. I have been doing this for a few weeks now and seem to be getting nowhere fast. I have a Linux based PC running Clark Connect with 1 serial pheonix interface and 4 Infinity USB Smart readers. The cards that I am using are a Sky Italia NDS3 card, a ITV Partner Cryptoworks card, a German Premiere card in Betacrypt, a Digitalb Conax card and a Viaccess card. Now the Viaccess and Conax card are running perfeclty well. The Premiere card is working but when the server is sending keys the picture freezes briefly and then its working again for several minutes before this happens again. The Sky Italia and Cryptoworks card do not want to seem to work no matter what I try. I am using NewCS 1.67 which reads all the cards.
If somebody can look through my .XML file and tell me where I am going wrong it would be appreciated.

Ok, for the Premiere card that is causing freezes, try settings the EMM blockers to YES, all 4 of them. If this stops the freezing then make each one NO again until you find out which one is causing the freezing. If the card is being flooded with emm's this may be the problem.
As for the Sly IT, I'm just setting one up myself for the pub on ubuntu, I'll let you know how I go on.

Hey there!
So how did it go with Sky Italia? Did you get it working?
Yep, Sly IT is working great in an omnikey reader using NewCS 1.67 in ubuntu.

Thanks mate,
i know how to setup server, i was just looking for a specific setup which actually worked with sly italia so i dont burn the card. Now that i know that omnikey 3121 is safe to use , i know what to order. The card is not so easy and cheap to find!
I have the sly italia card working in Ubtuntu and Omnikey.
You have not entered your boxkey in your newcs.xml.
I'm pretty sure it needs it mate.
I have it in mine and mine is working great
I also block GA emm's just for safety and put the card back in the original box every 6 weeks for an update.

hello
can you confirm you're using a 93b sky it card with newcs and omnikey?
please can you tell us the ecm time of the card with this reader?
i've it but i don't use because with the nds2 card (0919) ecm are 210ms and under linux for the moment we can not change the clock , it is possible only under winxp.
PS.
Newcs worked by adding the boxkey ( cheers B16MCC) but i have the weirdest problem. All channels work except from CALCIO channels (except calcio 3 which opens ok). I have posted newcs and client debugs but its pending forum admin approval...
