The cards probably have the same CAID and therefore you will need to tweak the priority file. Why use both???
i knew we'd get here in the end!

i have the irish card for everything, and i have the uk freesat card for Channel 4 HD.

yes both cards are 0963. do you know what i have to change to make the cards work?

You can add an entry in the CCcam.prio file but I don't know if it will work with 2 identical cards

If you really want to look into this then I suggest you look at cccam.cfg as well, you might be able to filter the channel directly through the C line. It would be a lot simpler if the second reader was installed on the second box

i was thinking this alright but the second box isnt always going to be at home, it'll be brought to our other house quite a bit so i'd rather not do this.

anyway, i'll start doing some reading and post here if i find anything. thanks again

My System: Dreambox 8000 HD PVR, 80cm Dish, 1.2 Compatible Motor, Quad LNB, Porty TV, Yamaha RX-V765 Amplifier, Tannoy Mercury FC Centre Speaker, 2 x Tannoy F1 Custom Speakers, 2 x Tannoy FR Custom Speakers, EPOS ELS Sub Woofer

can you not just use a dns address on the second box and tell its address to update via inadyn, that way when you move the box to another house, the dns address can still be accessed, just on a separate ip address.

My System: Irish Sky sub, Freesat HD from 28.2 East, BIS 5W and a Motorised Dish with a HTPC holding it all together

Right - got my Irish card in the Omnikey reader, and everything is now working nicely.

I use the latest Nabilosat Blackhole image for my DM800 and have finally managed to get NewCS configured and running. I use MGCamd 1.30d in the DM800 and what I like about this is that the card is not running hot at all!

What I really would like to do now is to start NewCS up when the DM800 starts up. At present I telnet to the DM800 and invoke the newcs command /usr/bin/newcs_1.67.pcsc -C /etc/tuxbox/newcs.xml command string - where should I start, and if a particular file is edited can someone tell me what directory the file lives in?

My System: 2xDM7025(DVB-S tuner), DM600SPVR, DM800S, TM9100, Triax 90cm with MultiBracket 4 sats.

You could add the line to /user/script/mgcamd_1.31_cam.sh.
If you look in this file you will see a "case" statement with "start)" followed by running of "/usr/bin/$CAMD_BIN &". Insert your execution line just before it.

There is also a "stop)" case where the cam is killed. You should add a line
"killall -9 newcs_1.67.pcsc" just before the exisitng killall.

By doing this the cam will properly get stopped and started through the blue panel when you stop and start mgcamd. I noticed that the script does not support "restart", so when using the blue panel it is advised you do a "stop" and then a "start" of the cam.

NOTE: adjust your filenames and commands to suit mgcamd 1.30 - the above is for 1,31.

Thanks a million - made the changes as suggested and now Newcs starts automatically on startup.

Still trying to get my Omnikey 3121 to work on my DM800.

On the USB ports which way are they numbered ?

Is bottom one node 0 and the top one node 1, or, the top one node 0 and the bottom one node 1 ??

My System: Dreambox 7025 XPS Quadcore

After trying to get my db internal reader to read my new sky white card,I finally succeded using newcs 1.66 and Cccam 2.1.1.However I now have two problems, one is I want to continue to let the cs I`m in see my card and two I want to use an external reader to read my card as I have heard about heating problems with the card,I`m not so happy to leave it in the internal reader.I have tried for 3 days now to get my omnikey reader to operate in my db 7025.I have went over B16MCC first post a thousand times with no joy.I can load the drivers needed in my db no problem.I`ve also loaded all the files I get from the newcs-1_67RC1 download.I rename the newcs.mips.pcsc file to newcs_1.67.pcsc and then try to start it through telnet, but I get the message file not found.

Help!!!!!

no its just the newcs.mips.pcsc you need

What happens if you telnet and enter dmesg.
Do you see the omnikey listed?

ok so start newcs using
/usr/bin/newcs_1.67.pcsc -C /etc/tuxbox/config/newcs.xml

you should get "Ready to go"

then try to access the newcs web interface

Do what I suggested in post 87, works perfect as it is the pcsc file renamed. Overwrite the original file in /usr/bin and bobs yer auntie.

This way it works on it's own every boot, no need to telnet or anything.

Make sure you use common interface or summat while you overwrite just in case.

Then select the combined cam and away you go.

Obviously you still need to install the 4 files as well.

Creator of the CCCCC - only a true wizard could come up with such a name!!

Just a quick note before anyone asks, You cannot use an Omnikey reader with the new CCcam 2.1.3 or any other CCcam. CCcam does not support PC/SC.
