Release:- NewCS & CCcam Config Creator v0.5.2

OK , its here at last. After a slightly shakey release and a few bug fixes later , its ready to go.

Now in v0.5.2 the GUI has undergone many changes again but hopefully for the better. I decided to release now because it seems a lot of people are still asking how to setup NewCS.

In this release I have disabled 'Advanced Mode' as the completion of that code was at least a month away but I thought it was a good time to help people out who just want a simple working setup.

Basic functions are as follows :-

1. Selectable Preset For NewCS.

In this release, available presets are:-
a. Standard Config.
b. Sly UK Config.

If anyone has working configs for other encryption / card types for newcs, then please do let me have them so I can add them to the list.

2. Built in NDS Box Key Generator.
3. Select Your Dreambox Model.
4. Built in FTP capability to send your created config files to the correct folders on your Dreambox.
5. Capability to create newcs.xml and CCcam.cfg seperatley.

The NewCS / CCcam Config Creator is .NET Framework compliant and is supplied as a standard MSI installer. This will ensure full compatibility with XP and Vista / 7.

I am running windows 7 64bit and this is not creating a newcs.xml file for me, it is working on the CCcam.cfg though

That's a very interesting bug.

Where are you trying to save the file to ?
Have you checked your File Type options to make sure .xml files are not hidden ?

Can I suggest you try it again, navigate to your desktop when creating the file. Then try again navigating to your root folder.

I have .xml file showing up, i am trying to save my file to a local folder on my HDD, i also tried saving to desktop. If i have a file named newcs.xml it asks if i would like to overwrite it, so i click yes, it comes up with a box telling me username and pass but it does not create the .xml file.

Now you've got me thinking... I really need someone else running Windows 7 to test it. If they get the same result then it pretty much confirms there's a problem. At the moment I don't have access to 7 but I'll build a VM on my MAC and test it myself. In the mean time please report if you find anything or have any further info. Thanks.

I also put my box serial into your NDS box key creator and then into this and it gives me different results.

I have this program working in Windows XP, so it must be either my computer or Windows 7 causing the problems.

Which number are you entering and how many characters is it ?

Ok guys I have a Windows 7 in VM now and I am seeing the same issue. It's obviously a vista/7 issue with the way it handles .xml files as it doesn't happen in Win XP and it doesn't happen with the CCcam.cfg file generation. I do see a difference in the SaveAs dialog box where it doesn't display the file extension, so this may be a clue. I'll install my dev. software in Windows 7 and do the dev in there to hopefully resolve the issue.
For now the work around is to simply use Windows XP. I guess strange unexplainable issues like this is why my primary system choice will always be MAC OSX !

UPDATE:- Guys when you have this issue , are you using the Sly UK preset ?
I've done a little testing with the util and the problem only occurs for me when I use the sly UK preset. It works fine when I use the Standard Preset. Please confirm if this is the case. If so its definitely a bug in my code and I'll fix it this weekend. Thanks...

Change Log:-

Fixed a bug in Vista / 7 where it failed to create the newcs.xml file.
Fixed a bug in the httpd code where the port number was wrong.

on the new release i get a problem when i try and transfer the newcs.xml file

Connection Succesful
Standard Password. You Really Should Change it !
Error:- Change Remote DIR Failed. Check It Exists.

I am running Nabliosat blackhole v11 on this on a DM8000. It is a fresh flash aswell

The xml file goes in /var/tuxbox/config.

FTP in to your box and check the folder exists, if not create it.
This function will be added in the next release.

Change Log:-

Its possible, on a brand new image, the /var/tuxbox/config folder does not exist. Instead of just prompting to check it exists it will now be created automatically.

Removed a bug where a future button, still in development, was already visible.

the new release is giving me 1107D518 for my box id, is this correct? i thought it had a 1 infront of it?

I couln't possiblty say without seeing your Serial No. However your box key will always be 8 characters so it does look ok in that respect. If you put a 1 in front of that making it 9 chars then I can tell you its definitely wrong.

i did a reverse Hex check on my box key and it is indeed correct minus the 0 at the front of my serial.

Wildbit, that issue was fixed in 0.5.3.
