First things first, you'll notice the name change. As this version now includes config creation for MGCamd it seemed like the time was right to come up with a wondeful new name. So there you have it.

Change Log:-

• A few minor bug fixes.

• Addition of MGCamd config creation. ( newcamd.list )

• New drop down box to highlight applicable buttons in simple mode.

EG:- If you want create NewCs and CCcam config then select that and the program will disable the buttons that aren't required.

• Link button for suggestions. Please feel free to post replies with suggestions.

B16mcc, do you think you could explain a little more to me about the generated newcamd.list

I'm assuming the number following the host ip address is the specified newcamd_port in newcs?
If this is correct, what is the CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000 used for?

No mate its not. As it says its the incoming port, not the out going. To be honest I don't know the full details of MGCamd. Its most likely not needed in this config but I haven't tried it.

Hi B16mcc,

I notice you dont have mg_cfg generator (or have I missed it?) I read elsewhere that in mg_cfg:
AU must be set to 1 (= On) and NOT Auto (=2), which is default!
Perhaps this could explain why my card did not up-date.
Have changed conf & will see.

freddy I didn't include generation of this file for several reasons.
Firstly, the authors changed the name of the config file on different versions of MGCamd so I could never be sure which name a user would need.
Secondly, the contents is pretty much self explanatory.
Lastly, the contents have nothing to do with the generated newcs.xml

As I've said several times , don't expect your card to take an update until about 2 weeks before your current entitlements show. My AU is set to auto and my card has taken an update.

Hi please could you help me setup Newcs 1.62/MgCamd 1.30d I cannot find where the config file is located for the MgCamd ?

I would like to host my white card in 1 dreambox with newcs 1.62 with MgCamd to keep the card updated and then share out with NEWCS to my other dreambox which will have NEWCS and CCAM is this possibal?

uksparx, you must use NewCS 1.66 or 1.67 the white card will not work with an earlier version. You'll find the config files for MGCamd in /var/keys.

The config creator takes care of it all !

Sorry but I feel really stupid asking this

When I generate my NewCS.xml file it tells me that the login and password is "admin" for the NewCS management console.

When I type these in nothing happens. Am I being really dense and I've missed something obvious )

First off thank you ever so much for your config creator, its brill!!!

I have set up an 800 and can watch my sly white card on it.
I have not beeen as successful trying to get my 500S working. Would apprexciate some advice like ....
1. Which version of cccam.cfg creator should I use with the 500 (std or sly?)
2. Can you confirm where the cccam and newcs files should be put, I have assumed cccam goes in /var/etc (which is where I have put it, The newcs.xml goes in /vat/tuxbox/config?
When I do this the white card can only be used for FTA, clearly I am doing something wrong???

Once I have the 500 working I want to feed the 500 via my 800 (using homeplugs) for Lan. My 800 ip is 192.168.0.3 & 500 is 192.168.0.4.
So what is the additional lines that I need add and where (cccam or newcs).
The image on the 500 is dark starII and blackhole 12 on the 800.

Your help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Can you clear up which box is having the card in it ?
If you use the config creator it will FTP the config files to the correct locations for you.
CCcam.cfg goes in /etc (Enigma 2)
CCcam.cfg goes in /var/etc (Enigma 1)
newcs.xml goes in var/tuxbox/config (Same for both box types)

For the box with the card in use Sly UK preset and don't forget to add your boxkey. For the client box you only need a CCcam.cfg . You don't need a NewCS on it.

Once you have one box up and running use the NewCS web interface to add a user for your client box.

That sounds right mate. User and pass are both Admin. Then click Login.
