My System: DM800 with Smargo and Sky UK World+HD option - Toroidal dish with 8 lnb ( 28.2E, 19.2E, 16E, 13E, 9E, 4.8E, 0.8W, 4W) + DM7020s + SkyUK freesat and 120m movable dish with stab rotor and invacom lnb.

Hi,
Dreambox 500 is ok for movable dish.
What size of this do you have? Isn't it an offset one?
What's about your rotor and its model?
I suppose you've never used a different rotor.
This informations are needed for a better solution.

My System: Dreambox 7020si, Technomate TM600, Technomate TM9100 Fracarro Penta 85 Dish, Televes 0.6dB Quad lnb, TM SG2200 motor. 60cm Channel Master BSB dish on 28e, Mti Blueline 0.2db Twin Lnb. Rover ST-4 Meter Cyfra+ Subscription

The Dreambox 500s and any clone that is derived from it is a waste of time for moving a dish unless the cable between the receiver and the dish is short, by short meaning under 5m and your prepared to mess with it for a few hours

The receiver just doesn't have the power required with its puny power supply

If you want to use it with a motor your best getting shut of it and getting a box thats upto the job.

The DM600 works well on a motor as does the DM7020. If your after something on the cheaper side of the market the Technomate TM600 & TM500 are also good with a motorised dish

You can also look at the IPbox 200s, these too are also good with motors

I have had a clone 500s driving my Superjack Motor and 1m dish for the last 7 months and it has never encountered a power issue. My cable run is around 10m .
I had read horror stories of people complaining about the 500s and its inability to drive a diseqc motor.
I think the main issue with the 500s was on the earlier external psu's which were rated 1A and didnt have enough power .The newer ones are 2A .
That being said alot of the psu's sold with clone 500s boxes are rubbish and blow easily.

I tested Dm 500 clones in past and I've never had this kind of problem on movable dish. In my old experience, when I had this problem it was ever a rotor defect; so I ask for what's the kind of rotor. This may help, as more advices about the settlement.
