Dreambox DynDns Problem

Hi Guys

I have a small server for my dreambox and yesterday I had to reset router. After setting all Ports and inadyn, I came across this problem.

The server is running well and connects to my peers, and when I put in IPofDreambox:16001, CCcam Info page opens well, however when I insert my Dreambox Dyndns in the browser, it takes me to my router and not to the Dreambox Web Control!!

Any Ideas on this please

If you want to access the web interface remotely, you need to open port 80 on your route and forwarrd connections to it to your dreamboxs IP address.

Make sure you change the default password on your dreambox. Also, bare in mind that you are taking a bit of a risk opening port 80.

The best way to test that it will work from outside your network is to connect via a proxy server. Hidemyass.com would do. This will avoid any of the effects of connecting to your box using a dynamic DNS address inside your own LAN.
