quick update

I have been out of the game for a few years do to living in a flat where sat not allowed.

I am now 'back in the room' but would like to know what is openable on dreambox without CS. Mainly from 28E to 1W

I heard it is only Digi on Thor.

Back when I stopped I was mainly getting Premiere and the spanish package, also on 19 deg. I remeber the golden era of Stream!

Many thanks.

Nic

If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots

Almost nothing - a few channels may be open on 1W. There is a useful key updater called Hacksat but Premiere and D+ have been closed for ages now.

DigiTV on 1W is the last big package open. Make the most of it as they will be going secure in a few weeks time!

Thanks for the info - what's the deal with card sharing? I've never looked at this before, is it all for profits these days (ie you have to pay to get on a server?).

what percentage of people out there are doing CS do you reckon?

Any pointing in the right direction would be appreciated.

Well

It is a very murky world and prone to unrealiability as server owners tend to maximise profit by offering too many shares per server, thus slowing down key distribution when key changes occur. Of course internet outages will affect the situation and hence your viewing ability, thus it needs to be very reliable internet connection. The most trouble free method is to get together a group of 'close' friends and share the costs of genuine subscriptions which you share amongst yourselves. Going any other route could lead you down a dark alley of deep despair as you do not know which mobsters or drug barons you are helping to finance, or how long it is before there is a knock at the door

Percentages are impossible to work out as nobody is likely to advertise statistics are they

The encryption systems are now being adapted to counter the use of card sharing but until for example the sky card swap out is complete and the old encryption switched off there is no knowing their effectiveness

Thanks Topper - I've certainly resisted the card share to this point - I just liked the idea of clearing a channel on your own - with the help of intelligent experts of course!

CS seems to take the fun out.

Half the time I never watched the channels anyway - I just liked clearing them.

It would be good to see some big breakthrough on the hack front - just to have a bit of that old fun back again.

Many thanks

Those days are long gone and the encryptions systems are now far too secure

Yup - you are 2 years too late for the glory days of multiple pay services open.
