D 8000: problems storing sat positions

I have just installed Nabilosat Black Hole v0.12 on my Dreambox 8000 and I am having problems storing the sat positions, when I think I have stored a position, when I select a satellite/channel, the dish moves slightly further then the stored position and I get tuner failed, so have to manually move it using the move east/move west buttons,
I also have a fixed s*y minidish connected to tuner B so I get 28.2e (s*y) through that but if I want to view other sats I have to keep going into the tuner setup, which is annoying for me but if that has to be the case, I don't mind but as for other people in the house, they don't want to keep going into all the menus that they don't no nothing about...

Any help will be great..

Thanks,

also, what is the best site to look up exact location/co-ordinates for where I am??

Why are you storing sat positions ? You should use usals. Use google earth to get your lat and long and then set the tuner to Simple, Disecq Motor and enter the values, job done. If it doesn't line up your mount is off .

Are you really sure, is it a dm 8000 problem? I've seen from "my sistem" configuration, you've a dm500s too. You could check with it of course, if it does the same.
In my old experience, it doesn't seem to be a dm 8000 problem, but anything about the motor or the own dish.
If you fault with dm500s too, I suggest to you to check again every single part of your system (wire, dish, motor, bracket...).

if it is to do with the mount, i can't understand it cos it was installed by a professional installer who has had many years experience (if i can remember, i think i paid a good £200, at the time i was using a technomate receiver)

It can still move in the wind !

Are you using a simple config with lat and long entered ?

How much time ago has it been installed? Hasn't it its warranty yet?
You may need to ask to your professional installer for a settlement check up.

My System: Dreambox 8000 HD PVR, 80cm Dish, 1.2 Compatible Motor, Quad LNB, Porty TV, Yamaha RX-V765 Amplifier, Tannoy Mercury FC Centre Speaker, 2 x Tannoy F1 Custom Speakers, 2 x Tannoy FR Custom Speakers, EPOS ELS Sub Woofer

yeah mate i had similar problem. I just typed in some values until i got it to lock on with all the east sats. I had a few probs because the signal on say 1west might have been 85% and signal on astra2 might have been 60%, obviously i'm after astra2 signal more than i am 1 west and so i fiddled with longitude and now i get 74-75% on astra2 (highest i can seem to get) and 80% on 1west, so all the sats in between seem to lock on nicely.

Google earth told me 001.425 west but i use 000.100east on longitude and it's fine.

Some strange motor results for you all there. Obviously it looks like my motor is not alligned right but if it locks on then who's to be too bothered.
