ITV HD recordings; how do I play back on PC?

Hi,

When I make recordings from ITV HD, I cannot simply play the *.ts file back on a PC using for example VLC. No video or sound plays, and I cannot move to a certain location in the file. It is as if the file is empty.

For all other channels recording, transfer and VLC playback works fine.

I am guessing it is something to do with the extra settings required to get the ITVHD channel to work in the first place... Does anyone have a solution?

NB, I can play back fine on the dreambox itself.

This is because ITV is not inserting PMT/PAT while the "this channel is currently unavailable"-card ist showing. Just prepend the attached "itvhd pat pmt.ts" to your .ts (e.g. command line: copy "itvhd pat pmt.ts" /B + yourrecording.ts /B fixedrecording.ts /B) and everything will be fine.
