My System: Dreambox 8000 HD, 80cm Orbital Satellite Dish Motorized LNB with 2 outputs, 2nd output leading to upstairs and using Dreambox 500S. Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K Amp/Receiver,
Current Nabilosat BH V0.12 A/V settings

These are my current settings on my Dreambox 8000 and using Nabilosat BlackHole V0.12, (just thought I'd write them down before I make changes);

A/V SETTINGS:
Video Output: DVI
Mode: 1080i
Refresh Rate: 50Hz
Display 4:3 Content As: Just Scale
Display 16:9 Content As: Letterbox
AC3 Default: Yes
AC3 Downmix: Yes
General AC3 Delay: 0
General PCM Delay: 0


VIDEO ENHANCEMENT SETTINGS:
Contrast: 128/256
Saturation: 128/256
Hue: 128/256
Brightness: 128/256
Scaler Sharpness: 13/26
Split Preview Mode: Off
Sharpness: 0/256
Auto Flesh: 0/4
Green Boost: 0/4
Blue Boost: 0/4
Dynamic Contrast: 0/256
Block Noise Reduction: 0/5
Mosquito Noise Reduction: 0/5

I am wanting to know if these are the correct optimum settings that I am using??

also this post is for people to share there current, default and optimum settings so that we can all view our results against others to try and improve both our HD and SD content on our Dreamboxes

You can make as many changes as you like. Before you do so, just make sure to create a backup with the Software Manager. It will allow you to backup all your Enigma2 custom settings, as well as you channels list, timers, network config. You can also backup additional files, user defined.

I suggest you do different tests, as TV may offer different performance.
I would also NOT suggest to use 1080i as default with the AutoResolution not in use. This means that ALL your channels, including SD channels will be upscaled to 1080i, with poor result.
If you wish to enjoy both SD and HD channels, you MUST setup the AutoResolution features to enable 1080i only on HD channels.

Menu/Setup/AutoResolution and enable it. Then, set it to use HD format for HD channels only.
