My System: Dusty Dreambox 7000s, & Sky HD.

Have received 2 dreamboxes 5620s today for friends. Can i send my settings from dreambox edit for my db7000 to their boxes. Or will I have to scan all sats for their settings. tried to do this but it keeps hanging when i hit send setting to dbox 5620. Any ideas.

My System: 7000S - 300GB Maxtor 1GB USB - Syslink wifi bridge from DB to Syslink wifi router to Apple Extreme streaming relay to Apple G5, 2 xG4. Elgato into G4 17 in for Apple DVB-T captures. Panasonic 42 HD ready

what keeps hanging? Llama?

But I too would like to know which folder or file I can ftp to my PC or G4 and keep safely till I lose my settings.

Yea Llama. It working fine with 7000 & acceps edits. Transfers back to db 7000 without any problems but when I connect up db 5620 connects ok but wont send or receive files. Maybe Llama DB edit wont work with the 2 boxes together.

Well I'd give it a try with the file saved from 7000, then switch off 7000 and unplug it so the server stops. Then see if Llama will see the 5000. I'd give it a completely different IP number.
If that doersn't work then it looks like the files are different. Surprising.

No still wont work, done what you said and still nothing. At least motor is set up and wont be too hard to find them.

On the latest Hydra image you can download the latest Satellite.xml file direct from the net.

Not sure if these images work on the 5620.

Yea its definitely 2 days work. But im still charging them for my 2 days work. They have loads of dosh so they can afford it. Found a db sit with the latest hydra Angharad_106 image. Just flasing it now.

There is an excellent article on TCD's on how to add newcamd (albeit an older version) to a vanilla image. OK, so it might not appear on the control panel, but it would work. I've done that, and then upgraded to a later version NP.

Sorted it out with reply from Llama. It was port problems. Transferred sat settings between 7000 & 5620 sucessfully.

I am using an ru dream image db 7000 and I can't seem to execute or write to the various folders var\scce, I have tried deleting files this works, but cannot write files back to folder, cannot copy paste, cannot even over write, is there something I am doing wrong.

I am using 192.168.1.24, the port for dream box is 80 on ftp its 21 should these be the same?

I use the dreambox control centre, as i sometimes could not connect with other ftp clients. Your dbox sould be set to192.168.0.24 and your computer set to 192.168.0.1 so that is your problem. SO RESET TO THE ABOVE and off you go.
