- DSL-G604T - wireless ADSL Modem-Router (for desktop PC)
- DWL-G650 - wireless Cardbus Adapter (for notebook)
- DWL-2100AP - wireless Access Point (for Dreambox) It was much better for easy installation to take for Dreambox either DWL-810 (bridge) or DWL-820 (gaming adapter) but they are not available here, at least at the reasonable price.
I have some questions about connection / configuration of above-mentioned devices, i.e. :
1) in which mode should I install Access Point DWL-2100AP connected to Dreambox : a Wireless Access Point, a Point-to-Point (PtP) bridge with another DWL-2100AP, a Point-to-Mulatipoint (PtMP) bridge, a Repeater for range extension, or as a Wireless Client ?
2) should I use a crossing cable to connect an Access Point to the ethernet port of Dreambox ?
3) what additional problems could arise when installing ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Q1 Don't know your equipment, but as far as your first question goes, surely it would have to be a WAP installation, otherwise it wouldn't serve the purpose for either the router, or more likely, your lappie.
Q2 depends on your hardware (read it's doco) but I think it's more than likely going to take a crossover cable (as if it were to be plugged into your router, it would have a patch lead).
Q3 Can't forsee any problems. Just read all the doco carefully, and make sure you get the WIFI newtwork configuration parms the same on each of the units. Write everything down as you go, and take your time.
Read my networking how-to for your Dreambox settings in the sticky here.
