Anyone using VLC within Gemeni image?

Trying to use vlc to play files other than .ts ones on my hard disc or PC, but cant seem to work it.
Cos I'm using XP on my PC I need to use CIFS for share, so this probably complictes things?
I cant see any way of changing VLC's default path of C:\movies once its loaded as a plugin.

Is there any other way I can watch avi's or mpegs through the dream box?

Xbox media center has some streaming software on it's site which may help you share video files with your Dreambox as this is what the software is supposed to do only usually with a Xbox games console.

May be worth a go
