I have linksys WAP54G I connected to linksys WAG54G using network cable but when I try to access the access point through its default 192.168.1.245 and enter the username and password "admin" it does not take me to the configuration page where I should configure the setting it seems that the password is not accepted can someone help me please in setting this up? But when I run the AP setup to detect the WAG54G it detect it but when I remove the net work cable and connect DB direct to the AP, it does not seems to be working in the wireless network Did anyone here succeed in a similar setup?

The default IP address for Linksys router is usually 192.168.1.1 try that... If you can then access the router you should change the default name and password. Then set the WEP password and use the option to check wireless connections for the MAC address of connected equipment. Once you have all your equipment connected using WEP access lock the access to these addresses. As additional security you can turn of the broadcast of your network name.

| What about the IP address for the access point I believe that it is 192.168.1.245, am I right? I was able to access the router “WAG54G” using 192.168.1.1 user name admin and password admin, but when I try to access the access point “WAP54G” using it is default IP address which is 192.168.1.245 I am able to get the Menu where I should enter the user name and the password, but once I enter the user name “Admin” and password “Admin” it does not take me to the configuration page of the AP. Then how can I make sure that the AP is connected to my wireless network? Thank you for your cooperation. | ||

Can you get the Dreambox working on the Internet wired to your PC or do you use a router? If you get it all working 'wired' then try and do it wireless that helps a lot!
