My System: Dreambox 7025, Dreambox 500s, Technomate 6900 Super, Foxsat HD Freesat, 90Cm and 1.2 CM

Hi all,
I have never had any problems with my 500s, nor till now have I had any with my 7025, but it is not driving to the sats right now, it is on a motor, at the moment and seems to drive past the sats, as the picture comes up for a while, but the motor keeps driving on past. I have this problem with all Images, I have Barry Allen installed on a CF card. I have done a factory reset, but that has not soled the problem, I hope to beat this and am still working on it.

Regards Wez

My System: I bet on red. If I lose, I double the bet on red again. I continue with this until I lost everything.

Muhuhuhahahahahaaaaarrrgggh

Hmmm my friends 5620 has blown up again. We are not sure what it is (will be opened soon) but it smells very burnt inside. Strong suspicion is that the power supply has had it...
Lol I told him to buy that dreambox because it was one of the most reliable ones - mine is still going strong after 5 years - the first 3 years I was giving it a really hard time changing images, plugins, the whole lot. In the last years it has simply been working without a problem, I hardly eve need to do anything to it other than an occasional reboot.

My System: Dreambox 8000 HD PVR, 80cm Dish, 1.2 Compatible Motor, Quad LNB, Porty TV, Yamaha RX-V765 Amplifier, Tannoy Mercury FC Centre Speaker, 2 x Tannoy F1 Custom Speakers, 2 x Tannoy FR Custom Speakers, EPOS ELS Sub Woofer
500-s

my 500-s is about 3 years old now, it is an original bought from an offer on a link which was mentioned on a hot deals in the uk website.

The box has worked flawlessly really, i do have problems with turning my box on if it was left on a horizontal transponder as the motor just goes crazy (happens on every version of gemini i have tried and never used to do it).

Other than that it still works great, my upgrade will be arriving probably next month in the way of a dreambox 8000 but the 500-s has served me well. The remote is fine, all buttons work and i don't even think that it has a scratch on it.

The box has crashed a few times for reasons i haven't figured out in the past and times when it has crashed because it never liked the channel i flicked onto but that is about all. The box also has also been recorded by me to of been on for 44 days solid without fail, pretty good for something that gathers more dust on the top than most electronics lol.

I wouldn't recommend people to buy a 500-s these days, the chances of more modern boxes crashing are a lot slimmer these days, plus hard drive space is minimal, so it's worth investing me thinks.

:-)

My System: DM7025 DM600 x 2 DM100 x 2

I've had 3 600 psu's die and two 7025 psu's die these have all been on different machines. The 600's I now tend to use 3 amp psu's instead of the supplied psu I find that after a while they tend to blow caps in the top corner (destinctive bulge can be seen).

As for the 7025 I've been lucky enough to be able to get them replaced although I do wish there was a circuit diagram to enable me to replace it with a larger psu to stop the strain and the heat generation (mabye a standard pc psu)

But dont get me wrong I would never be with out my dreambox and currenty saving up for a 8000

My System: 2xDM7025(DVB-S tuner), DM600SPVR, DM800S, TM9100, Triax 90cm with MultiBracket 4 sats.

My 7025 power supply died after about 2 years and also killed the motherboard. But Dream replaced PSU and motherboard for free (only paid for postage) after I pointed them at several posts on the web that showed it was a design fault. They replaced with DM7025+ PSU which, I believe, no longer has the problem. This requires replacing the back panel as well. No problems with DM600, DM7025+ or DM800 yet.
