Dreambox Web Interface, not working

Hi,

I can't get the dreambox web interface to work. I have a 7020 with the PLi Helinite RC image installed. I am able to use DCC to FTP and Telnet the dreambox and I can use the image's software management tool to download cam's, so the internet connction is OK.... any htoughts as to what might be causing the web interface not to work (Open IE or Firefox and type the IP address of the Dreambox and nothing happens!)?

Thanks,

If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots

Is there a web interface in PLi Helinite RC image?

Is the process running?

Yes, Helinite has a web interface in the Dreambox settings, system settings menu.
I assume the process is running, but not sure how to check this for sure.
The only options in the web interface settings menu are:
Web Interface port - (80 currently)
Use HTTP authentification (Selected)
Show EPG in webif channel lists (Selected)
Save
Cancel

I only have Gemini so will guess.

You can telnet in to the box and do a ps -ef to look at the running processes :

/sbin/httpd -h

look for something similar. Not there then the httpd process isn't running

Gemini has an option to show/ start daemons; something like httpd.init (from the blue panel)

HI,

Well I have telnet'd the box and can't see anything like you mentioned.

Perhaps I will pop a post in the PLi forum and see how to get the interface running.

Thanks,

Do you have /sbin/httpd (which is the http daemon)?

the syntax for stoping/ starting a daemon is:

etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd start
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart

try it for

/sbin/inetd

and perhaps /sbin/httpd
