My System: Famaval 3,1, IP9000HD plus other FTA and Linux boxes - Astra 1&2, Hotbird, Hispasat | This is weird. Can you open a browser and go to http://dreambox.ip:16001 (i.e. if your dreambox is 192.168.0.5 http://192.168.0.5:16001 ) This will open the CCcam server. Open the entitlements tab and it should give you info on your Sky card. What does it say?

My System: Dreambox with PLi-Emerald 1.09 image, Matrix revolution CAS, newcamd emu, movable dish 0.85 m, very happy indeed | what image are you using ? CCcam has it's own cardserver, so it should be used with NO cardserver installed. CCcam can connect to other cardservers (like NewCS), but this means installing the CCcam config files and editing them to connect CCcam to the cardserver you use. I'm currently still using 1.7.0 of CCcam with my Sky subscription card and a seca-2 card (CanalDigitaal) using the internal CCcam cardserver in PLi, and both work without a glitch. And I'm getting Premiere, D+ and TPS (dreambox 7000 model).

My System: Dreambox 500, Astra 1/2, Hotbird | Ok guys, I connected to CCcam via my browser and this is what it tells me on the Entitlements tab: card reader /dev/sci0 no or unknown card inserted So, it does know that a card reader exists, but, it either doesn't recognise my card, or can't even see that there's a card in there. The card, it goes in with the gold chip pointing down??? And the navy blue side pointing upwards??? I currectly have CCcam 2.0 loaded, and Gemini 3.6 - Any suggestions?? Really hope my card reader isn't knackered.

My System: Dreambox 500, Astra 1/2, Hotbird | lads - youre not gonna believe it. To be honest I thought the card didnt seem to go in to the slot as far as Id have thought it would - but it went in a good two thirds, and I just thought it was because the 500 is such a little receiver. Ive just, not ten minutes ago, pulled the card out and pushed in back in 7 or 8 times and no change.... then Ive just done it once more and its gone in an extra couple of centimetres and, viola!!! Thank the lord..... C4 & 5 no problems. Feel like a bit of an arse, but I had no way of knowing really. Thanks for all your help, makes a nice change to speak to some articulate people on this kind of thing. Ive now got this on the Entitlements tab: card reader /dev/sci0 handled 9(8) ecms and 0(0) emms Nds card 1a9efd1 Entitlement info b8c0 26-10-2007 b766 26-10-2007 b765 26-10-2007 b773 26-10-2007 b860 05-10-2007 b772 26-10-2007 What do the dates refer to? Is it to do with when the card needs to be updated?

Luckally your dreambox will update the card when needed, so that you can continue to watch. these dates should allways be about 6 weeks in advance.

My System: Dreambox 500, Astra 1/2, Hotbird | right oh - excellent. Ok, I now need to figure out why I'm losing some of Prem/D+/TPS/Polsat when I use CCcam. Should CCcam clear all these without problems?

My System: Dreambox 500, Astra 1/2, Hotbird | D+ seems to need daily updates at least I'd agree. But whats odd tho, is when I change to Mgcamd, often they clear - with the same keys. Its wierd. Even Prem seems dodgy with CCcam - yet its always on with Mgcamd.

I don't know how you update by try looking at keylist.txt and manually "update" it yourself (or softcam.key). I can't remember which one CCcam uses.

My System: Dreambox 500, Astra 1/2, Hotbird | I'll have a go tonight at updating manually and see how I get on. I did try it once before but I must've been using out of date keys or editing the wrong file.

My System: Dreambox 500, Astra 1/2, Hotbird | yeah - I've not managed to clear Prem with CCcam yet either. I haven't got my hands on Satans Updater yet either. I'll probably give it another go tonight.

My System: Dreambox 500, Astra 1/2, Hotbird | aaah - its ok, I'm familiar with Satans Key Bundle, I thought we were talking about a tool for manual updates. I generally have been using either Satans or Joednoble (or whatever it is) and doing well enough (with MgCamd). I loaded the latest Joednoble last night and CCcam didn't like it much. I'll stick a Satan update on there tonight and see how I get on.

My System: Dreambox 500, Astra 1/2, Hotbird | I've got the script running now - and its a great thing, but the keys don't seem to be so upto date. Should I be changing the default URL in the script? I run it every day but it hasn't once been upto date enough to clear D+. Any suggestions?
