yes mhku i am in canada right now but the info i am asking for is in greece and not here.......for your info north america does not use irdeto 2, only nagra2 and videoguard......i know the north american systems pretty well......but i am new with the irdeto 2 and nova greece and i need some info so i know what receiver to buy to bring it to GREECE......so here is my post and i hope my thread will not get closed again:

hi guys....i am new here and i need some info about Dreambox DM-500-S and nova hellas (irdeto2)....does it work with it?and if yes is there a step by step file how to do the set up? the most important for me is how to log to the server to start the emulation.....will i need a card for it?

You can only get Nova with the Gamma card, but it is no longer possible to obtain these cards.

Without using a valid card of course.

Hello kirk1gr,

I am not sure why do you need to bring in a satellite receiver from the US to Greece.
The power voltage is ~ 220V instead of 110V, so your power supply will not work in Greece, unless it has a wide voltage range. Also you will need a different mains plug.
The power cable itself might be 110V rated, so there is a safety issue here that should be considered.
If you are going to be in Greece for some time, then the obvious thing to do would be to subscribe to Nova at the cheaper local rates and choose the option that suits you.
Then buy a receiver as recommended by Nova locally or order from Europe if they are too expensive there.
And welcome to the Middle East.

if you want a gamma card good luck as they are as hard to find as rocking horse poo secondly they dont work in a 500s save your self some money and get a technomate they work fine

thanks guys for the info......really apreciated......but in my case whats the best thing to do? by the way i do have an adsl connection..... but which receiver has the best support out there for nova hellas? i thought of getting a sub and paying but the package is 57euros personally i find it really pricy.....

Have you thought Card Sharing as an option?
Lets say a DB receiver and a local card of your side for the Irdeto2 you want.
Isnt' it an option?

CCcam will open nova cards.

if you do not want to pay subscription do without or try as previous poster said.

Cannot get nova with keys, you can do it with gamma as somebody mentioned but not with 500-s apparently.

If CCcam can read the card, then that means you are able to get from the card....you know what i mean?

as far as i know i can suggest dm 500 and above dream models i will give money only for the unbeatable dream box models and gbox for all version of nova cards.

As i said, all you need is a valid subscription card and the latest version of CCcam on your box, the channel will ocme straight up.

As for what fantom007 said i will not post links to do with that, i cannot pm you because you only recently joined, i will suggest googling.

Can a valid irdeto subscription card (ie.. n*o*v*a card) be used with the Dm500s (Gemini and CCam2.0.8)???? . And if yes, then can i, by creating a ccam server, share this with other clients?

i've already told you, i am not going to discuss it.

CCcam should read an irdeto card yes, just download it, select the cam and insert the card.

anything else from what you have asked i simply will not repond. But yes it will be visible to other people if that is what you want to do.

I have a DM500S which has Enigma and Gemini above it. I have installed CCCAM 2.0.8. It works well with my VIASAT card original (nds). It does not though read my original NOVA card (irdeto2).

Please, is there something special to think about, since it works for you but not for me?

I'd be grateful for some help!
