Problem with Dreambox dm 500s (vlc)

Well.. several time ive tried to config the dream box and my pc so I would be able to watch videos from my pc on the tv.
But still , I couldnt do it..
I use "dcc" to monitor the connectivity of the pc to the reciever.
my pc connects to the dreambox perfect.
but the prob is that the dreambox dont see my pc.. I open vlc play videos... nothing.. cant view them on the dream box.
I would be glad if someone could tell me how to config my dreambox to connect with my pc so i could record and transmit videos.

Have you tried deactivating your antivirus and firewall, just to check if it has anything to do with it?

personally i wouldn't bother trying to get that working. I've tried many time's and it seem's each version of the software has different issues with it.

The earlier version's worked but didn't offer a great deal of file formats and the later version's can now handle mp3's but on the downside they restart your cam and default sat in your motor settings when you try playing avi files. Also in the latest version it will not play dvd's properly, seem's to have issues with large video files.

So you have a choice really, keep trying and end up giving up like i did, or just wait for a new version and wait for the developers to fix these annoying problems.
