DM500s CCcam2.0.9 Irdeto2 Smartcard Periodic Pixelation

Hello! I'm new, just having picked up DM500s yesterday. Anyway, got the box work just fine with one exception -- maybe two. I'm using a subscription card (Irdeto 2) in the reader slot with CCcam2.0.9. Every few minutes or so the screen freezes, pixelate, then resume normal display. It also takes an enormous amount of time after CAM is restarted before the program resumes. Channel change is also very slow. I'm using a Gemini image (I think, will check once I'm home). I've tried changing a CAM or two, but these don't even work. Only CCcam works with my card.

If it makes any difference, I think I've got a cloned box -- as we don't have a authorized dealer for the real thing here. I've been thinking about flashing with other images to see if I get better results. Somehow, I suspect that it's the CAM that's giving me the trouble. Any thought? At any rate, I might flash PLi image regardless as this looks to be well supported with a big community around it.

Welcome to the forum

What image are you using and are you sharing the card?

I have to check, but I think it's the latest version of Gemini (4.3.1 I presume). No, the card isn't shared. I have the smartcard in the slot and the machine isn't networked. I'm going to hook it up to my home network next to get the video into my MythTV box, aside from flashing other images as required.
