My System: Dreambox 500s |
I have followed instructions to set up my dreambox to record to a network drive and it seems to be mounting the drive correctly. The problem I get when I try to record using the red button is a blank black screen. Any ideas? Steve

Can you browse the HDD using File Mode? Have you tried with the PC firewall turned off? Did you amend your remote control XML file to add a "record" button to it?

My System: Dreambox 500s | I can indeed browse the HDD, although there's nothing in the folders. I have tried with the firewall off and tried on a Vista and XP machine. How do I add the record button? I will try the suggested settings later on when I am home. Many thanks for your help, it's much appreciated. Steve

You've setup a user and given them full rights to the folder on the HDD (same user as the mount on the dreambox)? Have you tried mounting it from the Web Interface using a PC?

My System: Dreambox 500s | Pwermissions are all set correct, I set the mount up from the idoits guide. My software ver is 4.0.0, 11.03.2008. I can mount the Dreambox from my PC web interface and in the mount manager, the mount I've set up has a green tick.
