My System: DM500
is box knackered

hi
I am having problems with my box,
everything looks to be working fine till you search for anythig then it shuts down . also it hs blown 3 power supplys
Me thinks it knackered but you never know .
has any one else had there probs ..

My System: Dreambox DM7020, Orbital 1m Dish, MTi 0.2dB Twin lnb, Technomate SG2200 motor. Rover DM16C Digimax & Rover DL4 Meters.

Yes i'd probably say that it is well and truely knackered

I have only seen this problem reported about clones, not the genuine item

If its a clone 500s you may as well cut your losses and get another one. You can pick up a clone now for as little as £50

Have you any idea if the 500s at linuxsat.co.uk for £70 are clones.

Probably are at that price, Also they are out of production, so unless they were lying around a warehouse for ages, Then yes clones.

Also the DM-600's on there are way too cheap at £115
