If you are the "Master of your own box", then just be careful when you connect to the Gemini Server.
If there is someone else in the house who might click on the Addon button and start installing files that overwrite existing ones, then that's another story.
Give us the whole picture, if you want a satisfactory reply.

As I understand it, iacovides wants to prevent access to the "addons" menu in Gemini.

As far as I can see, from my limited experience and knowledge [my caveat

] , there isn`t a menu to prevent addons from being downloaded and installed.

I`m not sure if other images have such a function or if addons are available to do this.

There is a security setting in Gemini that will prevent the changing of settings. Its under the same menu as the one used for setting up a parental pin code for certain channels.

Look under parental control settings.

Whether or not this will prevent downloading from the gemini server from the blue panel, I have not tested, so I don't know.
