| Hi All, I can't receive vertical polarization channels with my dm500s, I have tried several images but nothing works - only horizontal channels. I have another receiver that works for both polarization so I think it's not LNB problem. Can anyone help? p.s. the power supply that came with the box (12v 2A) died and replaced it with a (12v 3A) -can this be the problem? many thanks. | ||

My System: AZbox HD Gibertini 85cm dish 4 way Diseqc switch........ linksys access point connected to Azbox.. | hi amrhady... Do you have both recievers feeding from a single cable into a splitter? I had this problem a while back where I had my 500s and a Humax reciever feeding both thru a splitter with the exact same results and when I directly connected the 500s the problem stopped.. cheers. gandalf | ||

| Myhd, I checked the thread you mentioned it's useful but a different problem. I think it solves the "no-highband" channels, or low lnb voltage, problem. My problem actually is constant high LNB voltage (18v) Thanks. | ||

| I found a workaround, FINALLY!!!! - I have noticed that if I change the sat-configuration of H/V (18,14,0) to OFF I would get no signal, but with 14 or 18 I only get horizontal channels. This means that my dm500 output can either be ZERO or 18v (no 14v output). So I did the following 1. Entered my old receiver into the loop and set it to a vertical channel (output of recvr to input of dm500) 2. LNB cable to input of old recvr 3. on the dm500, made 2 configurations for the same satellite one with H/V =18v and another with H/V= OFF 4. Edit transponders: Vertical transponders to one with H/V =0 and Horizontal ones to satellite with H/V =18v 5. Scan ! This way when I turn into a Vertical channel on my dm500 the box will put ZERO V on the cable, yet my old receiver will be putting 13v. And when I switch to a horizontal channel the dm500 will put the 18v as my sat configuration says. A temporary workaround till I fix my box thanks a lot to all who replied | ||
