If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots

The USB to serial cable is not very reliable with a Dreambox. Depending on the image you can flash a dreambox using a web browser and therefore use a network cable.

I've not done this but search may turn it up.

You cant use Dreamup without a working null modem connection, DreamUpLAN may work but I've never used it.

Try flash wizard pro which is attached here. You can use it to flash over the network.

My System: Covering 30W-105.5E range, two motors, C and Ku band. Various receivers/cards/cams/etc.

Turok, your motherboard DO has com port, just no connector on back. Go to any computer hardware store, buy youself com port bracket for back panel and that's all

Make sure the lead is long enough to reach a spare slot in the panel. I had to rearrange my PCI cards to give me a space. The port (COMA) is on the bottom of the board (at least it was on my Gigabyte mobo.)

I Must look on the mainboard itself, not every modell has this contector ,in later series, the problem is that the manual often is printed in revision 1,0 Hardwarelayout, then your mainboard has never revision from the same series, this results, that not all conection are on the same place,,you look in the picture ,and the diagram of hardware layout,is often difrent, from later revisions!

It'll be marked COMA (10 pin header).
