DM500S Not Working after Flashing

Hi,
Please, I really need help. I just bought a Dreambox 500 Plus S and tried to install a img file using Flash Wizard 6.3. Seems that the image I tried was wrong. I did the installation via LAN. The issue now is that I turn on Dreambox and I just get the Red and Green lights flashing simultaneously without stopping. If I press the StandBy button on the front of the box I can then see some green lights inside the box. Please, what should I do? Do I need Null Cable and then DreamUp? Thanks...

yes using a Null Cable and dreamup should fix a bad flash, i had the same problem about a week ago both lights just on and dreamup fixed it nicly.

Agreed. 232 null modem cable, dream up which is an official DMM bit of software click on flash erase. when that is finished click on flash it will ask you if you want to flash erase again... yes.

That way it gets a double format!

hope that helps.

You should only really use flash wizard with a box that it supports 100% like the 7000 or 7020

It will work to some extent with the 500 but i only use it if i can't get access to anything else

Start dreamup, select the right com port that your null modem cable is connected to and then press connect. It will then ask you to switch on your receiver

you then switch on your receiver

Does Dreamup report that it is connected to your box , the box type and that the box is ready?

Connection to the dreambox is done after you start dreamup not before
When it says connection prepaired switch on dreambox that is when you connect the power supply.

It sonds like you have a doorstop my friend

looks like the only way you will bring it back is by jtagging it which isn't the easiest of things to do if your not handy with a soldering iron
