Multiple Satellite listings on Dreambox 500?

Hi Guys

Is it possible to have multiple satellites listed under the "Satellites" option within the Dreambox menu so you can switch between them without having to rescan transponders and channels?

Everytime I select a different satellite then perform "automatic transponder scan" it deletes all the channels from the previous satellite.

It sounds like you're doing something wrong. Have you read the Idiot's Guide?

Very roughly:

1. move the dish until you get a lock on the satellite and STORE the position.

2. do a scan.

3. Move the dish to the next satellite and STORE it's position.

4. Repeat 1 -3.

Thanks for the reply mhku.

I read T_G's article in the idiots guide "Dreambox and motors" but it didnt go into simple details of how to store I cant see this option on the screen or remote.

I have a fixed dish at the moment.

Sorry if im being stupid here but how do I STORE the position of say Astra then moving onto Hotbird and storing that etc?

Thanks for your patience :-)

Do you have a dual LNB (monobloc)? If not you can only receive one satellite e.g. 19.2E

no dont have a dual LNB, so therefore i can only load one satellite at a time I presume? Ive scanned channels from Astra 19E, 23E and Eurobird 28E succesfully but have to do this individually.

I take it that I need to be upgrading to a motorised dish, any suggestions on a good bit of kit? Im based in Costa del Sol if that makes any difference to size of dish. I want to be mainly watching premiership soccer, 1W / Thor if possible from my location.

Another quick question, Canal +, should it be showing up on Astra 19E? When i scan its not showing up in my list, I tried a manual scan with the details taken from L.O.S. but still no good, thanks for everything so far

If your dish is pointed at 19.2E you can only see 19.2; to see 28.2 it needs to be pointing at 28.2. How big is your dish? A Motek 2100 is good for up to about 1m dish.

Not sure if you are in the 1W footprint- might be worth starting a new thread in the relevant section as this is not really Dreambox related- have you had a look/ used search in this section: http://www.satellites.co.uk/satellit...ption-general/
