Which cam is best for SKY viewing card

Hi guys,

I am going to setup my DB 500 in bedroom to watch just the free SKY channels (to save it collecting dust since I replaced it with a Foxsat HD box for the lounge).
I know I have to buy a £20ish SKY card to view the encrypted channels, my main questions is which cam is the best to use with a SKY card?

I miss my 1w setup

If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots

CCcam will allow you to use Sky card.

Not sure what you are saying here, the £20.00 card will allow you to view FTV channels and nothing more if you have freesat with your existing setup without a card, what more are you expecting with a card? You will not be able to view subscription packages without paying for them.

You will get extra free channels with a 'Freesat from sky' card over 'freesat' but not many.. sky3 nuts tv spring to mind.. It hardly seems worth it though.. cccam works fine for sky cards

I think that is an insult to the word to call those channels

I have Freesat in the lounge but have a Dream Box 500 kicking around doing nothing so I thought I would put the DB in the Bedroom!!

I know for £20 I can only watch the free stuff but for a £20 card it is cheaper than buying a freesat box!! To be honest I don't know why Sky makes you buy a card anyway!!

Again I am confused they do not make you buy a card, you can watch the FTA channels without a card

So you dont need a card then? I thought the fta channels were encrypted!!? Is it because I have a DB and not a Digi Box I dont need a card?

Fiver, Five US and sister channels require an FTV card.

Just tested the Dream Box, all works ok without a card as you said. The dealer over here must be trying to shift cards I guess!
