DM500 clone Remote Control Probs

I bought a DM500 clone from DVBmonkey a while back, the control works but it is very bad ie. I have to be very direct when I want to change channel, go to menu etc. The control has to be on the exact same level as the Dreambox, and it must be pointed very directly at it. Does anyone else have the same problem?
Thanks

If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots

The remotes on the originals aren't that great either. Using new batteries in it goes without saying.

There was a post a while ago that mentioned replacing a capacitor on the motherboard - the forum search facility might find it.

And welcome to the forum

Also some of the clones have a Metal cage around the IR Diode, you can carefully open the DM and carefully cut away the cage which will give you a better angle for your remote.
