hi to everone

i have just bought a new dreambox 500. it is connected to my dsl router with 25m cable.

when i switch it on it usually works but then my dsl connection goes down.

i conatcted my isp they said something wrong with my cables so i replaced them. still the same problem.

any suggestions welcome.

ps i am not a techie.

Hello and welcome .
When the connection goes down, can you connect to the DM-500 with your PC.

How comfortable are you with using Telnet, changing network settings etc, etc?

Can you post a screen grab of the network settings dialouge on your dreambox.
Go to Menu -> Setup -> Expert Settings -> Communications

Bet its a Belkin one

By past experience they have never been anygood on ADSL or DSL
