My System: DM500S
MPEG4 and DM500S

Hi

I already got a paid subscription to a local dth provider and what i can see is that, their irdeto card is not married to receiver ,but the problem is thier stream is in mpeg4,and the box i am planning to buy is DM 500S(thats the only option i have here),i know that it wont support mpeg4,so my question is there a way to decode the mpeg4 stream in DM500s by using some 3rd party hardware addon,or cards?

Well

I think the answer will be a resounding no, in any case the processor in a 500S would not be capable of processing such vast amounts of information.

My System: DM500S

I hear you guys ,so what about buying a decent dvb-s2 card?,hence i got some questions

My main aim of doing all these setups is to play with soft cams,i guess reversing a technology is the best way to learn it ,so that's why i preferred DreamBox,but unfortunately nothing other than DM500S is available in my area,as i am more interested in playing with my current DTH provider which is a mpeg4 stream

_http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/sundirect.html

so here are my question

1)Do you guys recommend any dvb-s2 cards (already asked in other thread)

2)can i watch the normal mpeg2 streams using dvb-s2? (instead of s1)

3)Whether i will get all kind of flexibility in using all softcams using PC card ?

4)i want to use the same irdeto smart card with that dvb card,is that possible?

thats it,and thanks
