dreambox 500 help

so i dont need to connect my receiver to my laptop throught a serial cable. when i am using dcc to update the cccam.fig, how do i connect my laptop & where do i connect it to. do i connect my laptop to the router via an ethernet cable, or do i take the ethernet cable from my router & connect it to my laptop directly.Please can you help as the football is on.

since you' re in a hurry i' ll try to help.
if you want to connect your laptop to your
dreambox best is a serial cable for editing.
you can use dcc with the ethernet connected
to your router from your laptop and another
cable from the dreambox to your router or a
spliter.

will try it via the eterenet, as i have tried the serial cable, but that did not work. i was told that the usb was only to flash an image is that wrong.

try it with 2 ethernet cables and dcc should show you
the connection if you entered the correct ip addresses
there will be a green line between your laptop and dreambox.
Forget about the usb key i never got that to work.
try your ethernet cables.
