Manual Install - cant find files

Hi all,

I just bought a couple of DM500s clones from china. I am new to linux so I thought I'd start in the cheap end to see if this is of interest. I have flashed the boxes with Gemini 4.2, cause it is said to be clone safe. I have also been able to configure sats and channel setup. So far so good.

Now I want to be able to use my CD card. I have tried to FTP the files (newcs mgcamd & evocamd combo) to the DB but when I try to manually install them via blue panel the files don't show... The file ends with .bz2 any suggestions?

If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots

You can normally ftp an unzipped file (e.g. a plugin or cam) to /tmp and do a manual install from the Blue Panel.

Now cccam trouble

If I ftp .zip or .rar the files are not shown in tmp folder. I got my Can Digi work fine with newcs/mgcamd.

Now I wanted to try CCcam on a different box but cant install. Have tried to put CCcam.pcp in /var/bin and CCcam.conf in var/etc but don't seem to do much different. Any ideas? Am I using wrong file format or what?
