Please fill your location in correctly - you have US listed, but your ip resolves to western Israel.

It might seem a small point to you but you might well get incorrect information if you have the wrong location listed.

Well the first question to ask is are English subtitles carried on the broadcast?? If its only got Hebrew or Arabic on it then thats all you will get!

All what i get after i have mess around with the configuration is subtitles of what looks like Greek. It appears only when there is a movie that has subtitles transmitted (originally, there was no subtitles)

My System: DreamBox500S

For example Discovery Channel on 13E Hotbird6, FREQUENCY 12169
The sub titles seems like Greek which makes me believe that I have some issue with the translated or code of the text by my box. Maybe FONT maybe file that is missing

Assuming you mean the sort of thing on the picture you CANT change them!

Its part of the Discovery package broadcast in English. Nova is a Greek package and is broadcasting for Greek speakers. Rather than dub the entire filmstock into Greek they just subtitle them instead.

However these subtitles are coded into the transmission - they arent inserted by the DB!

The picture is from Discovery on Hotbird 12169H

Now, the question if there is anything on 7E , 7W or 13E with English Subs...

Anyhow, you are the master and I really thank you since I would have weeks on trying to resolve it (I found a program on one of the forums but had issues installing it)

I very much doubt that theres much programming available with English subtitles.

Most American programming sold to foreign markets will either be dubbed (eg Poland seems to prefer dubbing rather than subtitles) or will have subtitles and leave the English language soundtrack on it (many eastern European countries do subtitles instead of dubbing).

To be honest there really isnt much demand for foreign language programmes in the UK or America, apart from maybe a few foreign films.

You certainly wont find Discovery type programmes with English subtitles as the programmes are all in English to start with!
