My System: DB 500s | I'm quite new at this and I don't think I have all of the pieces put together in my head in a logical fashion as yet, please help me to understand. So far I have Dream box 500s the descq switch, dn 500 pro, pointing at 110 119. The 500s has a SNR of 70% and a AGC of at least 88%. I have the gemini project 3.00 loaded and camd v610b,I have a bouqet loaded with providers. Not sure how or where to load the keys for this or if I can coherently explain how I got to this point. I don't have much of a Tuxedo wearing Penguin background (hee hee). I can connect to the box using the cat 5 or com1, I have toyed with Flash wizard pro, DCC 282, and of course Dreambox edit all are easy to use and straight forward programs. There is so much to learn in the forums and I have. BTW I am connected to the internet and can stream radio in the blue-panel....extras/settings...Dreamnetcast. But when try to go through the channels in tv mode I still get the black screen and msg that says; Switch.... Service could not be found. I don't know if the problem is hardware, or if I'm missing the critical piece like a set, or a book of autorolling keys (smart Keys) that may scan for a key change. I have a file TPS from km but I'm not quite sure how to use or put it in var\keys If any one can make sense out this please help. from dave to charlie and now I'm trying to Dream. Ruhulooped

Welcome to the forum ruhulooped Well lots of incoherent bits there, no mention of dish lnb or indeed what satellite you are pointing at, are you receiving anything at all from the dish/lnb

Blog Entries: 5 My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser. | The TPS files are for European satellites, not dish, and not the ones you can see. I gather that everyone on your side of the pond is in the dark at the moment, so probably nothing you can do.

My System: DB 500s | Thanx for the response mates; after a little (a lot) more digging and joining several more sites, I now know that I will have to use a 102 rom and emu to get channels. After all the hype about the Dream; I was just not prepared for a slap from charlie at this magnitude. With this box I was expecting a very quick fix. There is a way around the hit, and it comes in the form of emulation. what I needed is the information below. I am no longer confused about most of the pieces of this puzzle. I found the answer to my query it is as follows: I found this on another site the author's name is Geno (brilliant!) I hope this can help someone who has been struggling with this. Which Files Go Where!!!!!!! geno's EMU's Chart - Which Files Go Where... - 11-13-2005 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EMU's seem to go in and out of style week by week. Here is some info for most of the common EMU's and where the files go to make it easier for all of us.
