Question channels / favourites backup

Hello friends. I have 500s with gemini 2.9 ( + evocamd ). I read somewhere that it is possible to make back up on pc of all channel lists , user boquets, favourites etc.. so that if I want to flash new image in future, I won't loose all the hard work and have to start again.
Can someone please tell me an easy way to do this - or the least hard way?!!
Also is it possible to lock an entire created user boquet, not just an individual channel?

Thanks for all support received in this forum, especially to mhku

My System: Networked (router and homeplugs) Dreambox 500s Gemini 3.1

Hello,

Download the tool "Dreamboxedit" (http://dreambox.happyllama.com/), it's a powerfull channel lists editor. Fill in the IP of your box, choose a directory where you want to put the backup and press "Receive files from Dreambox".

If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots

If you flash the box you do lose your stored satellite positions- they're not saved or backed up by DreamboxEdit.

My System: I bet on red. If I lose, I double the bet on red again. I continue with this until I lost everything.

It is all in the idiot guide, always have a look inside the guide. Most of the "normal" day to day operating stuff for the dreambox has been covered there.
