recorded images to dvd

Hi guys..
having recently discovered how to record onto my pc through the dreambox I now want to convert the files onto DVD but I keep getting the error message can not find/recognise the codec..the file appears to be a WMV file as it plays on the PC through windows media 10. I have tried codecfinder 5 and superdvd creator 8 but no joy..anybody got any ideas..cheers

If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots

How are you converting? .ts to .vob doesn't involve any .wmv files?

I use Nero to make the DVD in one go from .ts to dvd files (when I've done it in the past).

And there's a thread in the Dreambox FAQ section.

videhelp.com also have plenty of info if you need any software etc.

My System: Sky+ v2 (120Gb); DM7020Si*motorised; PC/S2-3200

the FAQ on here is most excellent.

I use FileSplitter to join the TS files, ProjectX to demux, MPEGSchnitt to cut the chaff and TMPEng to re-join the audio and video.

I found pvaStrumento to not handle DM500 TS files that well. It might be different in later Gemini versions (I know CIFS seems to be more robust 2.9-onwards)
