600 Leds locked on...

Hello all,

I have flashed my new 600 with the latest gemini, using VSFA, all went well except that after the flash the reboot never ended and now the box has the 2 leds on all the time and a black screen.

I'm on a laptop so I don't have a null modem cable (so obsolete technology, why not punch cards while we're at it ?) so i'd like to know how to do it with LAN only..

Thanks for the help

First place to look is always DMM home site.

Well, yes but no

The box is LOCKED, both leds are on and I don't get anywhere on the browser, the last known IP does not reply in DCC or any other program sop I guess it's more complicated unfortunately.

What else can I try ?

thanks

It's seems that you have a clone and not an original box.

Gemini team uses the latest DMM bootloader for the DM600Pvr. If you look at IHAD forum there is a thread about this.

But if you insist on using the latest Gemini you can try the following image, (is nothing more, but a modified version of the original Gemini Image but with the older boot loader)

Try unplugging the box from the mains, hold the standby button on the box, plug the mains power back in while still holding the standby button for about 20 seconds.

If you get alternating red and green flashing LEDs you will be able to flash the box using steps 2 + 4 here Flashing a DM-600 in 4 easy steps

If Gemini killed your clone, then it wont be so straight forward.

I just experienced an issue with the RED/GREEN led's locked on.
My box froze up when I accidentally pressed the right arrow below the 9 on the remote. Power Off/Power On caused it to do nothing other than show the red green leds fixed.

Left it for 10 mins and plugged it back in again, and whatever the fault was has cleared. I suspect it may relate to the flakey HDD though.
