problems mounting dm600

Hi guys I've been trying to mount my dm600 (no hard disc) to my laptop (running on vista) in order to save movies, but after everything I've tried it still informs me (in the mount manager) that connection FAILED.
P.S. I shared the C drive and the dreambox folder in it, and filled the mount manager in the dream properly according to the intructions but it still doesn't work?

Welcome to the forum

Did you follow all the mount procedures as shown in the Guide? Folder and usernames are exactly the same (case sensitive)?

Any firewall on the laptop that is stopping the mount?

The search function should find some recent mount/ vista posts.

Can you show us a screen grab of your dreambox settings?

I've mounted shares from vista in the past without a problem.

Can it be the problem that I have the internet connection on my laptop (via router-wirelessly) therefore dreambox and laptop aren't connected via LAN. Dreambox is onliene and i have the access to dm from my laptop?

They need to be on the same network; do they both use the same router as a gateway?

Can you show us a screenshot of the Dreambox communication setup and the IP addresses of your laptop and router (LAN IP addresses)? Details of how to do this are in the Guide.

Hello,

I have the same problem, I cannot mount share which is located on my
windows vista OS.

1. No firwall is enabled.
2. I can access (with CIFS) my dm600 (it has samba server installed) from my PC.
3. I gave my Windows directory an anonymous access "Full Control" (security+share).
4. I cannot find any error message with dmesg command.
