Smile Desperate for eurobird astra 2 lock please help?

Hi guys, ok Ive just had my 1m dish and ***** motor installed ,flashed the dm600pvr with the latest darkstar2 image and Im still not getting a lock on many of the sats to the east. Im in Dundee Latitude = 56.490 Longitude = -2.993. Im finding Thor 0.8w fine and getting round to hotbird but thats it.Im not sure if its not been set up correctly or if its a software thing with the dreambox but Im about round the bend here. Its driving me mad and ANY help at all would be so gratefully appretiated..
Ive tried findsat manual and automatic transponder scans tried to move the dish manually via box tried it all and still nothing .If anyone can help at all I would really be so grateful. Ive also got a sky single dish set up and Im having to swap over the two dishes so the kids can get their tv,I have a package but my sky+ box decided to pack up last year. Im not sure if I can run the two dishes on the one box and how to set that up but again any info would be brilliant. I cant sleep till I get this done lol..typical woman..Pretty good at the programming etc just not so good at finding sats....
Many thanks everyone ..

My System: TM6800HD, TM1000, TM600 Linux,TM5200, TM2200 motor, Triax TD110 dish + Fortec 85cm. Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT

First thing to do is to check that the dish is moving properly, check out the window, when on 28E it should point roughly where your Sky dish points.

You should be able to use east/west buttons on receiver while on 28E to see if you can get a lock. Make sure you have a valid transponder to check.

If you still get nothing, I suspect that the arc is not being tracked, possibly. If you are able to reach the dish, you can check it by pushing on the bottom or top a bit, to tempoarily change the elevation angle.

When using Diseqc1.2 you have to store the satellite positions manually.

My System: Zone1, DSI8215 SkyHD, Thomson DSI4214, TF5000CI, Dreambox DM800 HD PVR - Nab BH0.12, TM-5200D, Gibertini 104cm, SNH-031, 36v Actuator, Vbox-II, 42°E to 30°W, Sling Media, Televes H45 Digital Processing Analyser, Satlook Micro+G2 NIT, Rover SDM 1s

Don't forget that to be on the arc you need to send the dish to a reference satellite close to your longitude before alignment - You can do this with USALS.

It's possible that your installer may have just bung it straight to 1W.
Also check pole is plumb in all directions and motor scale on bracket is set correctly to your Latitude.

Thumbs up Thank you all

Hi thanks to everyone for your help with this.I do think thought that you are right in saying it hasnt been installed correctly. I think it has been set up sitting at thor 1w and this is the reason it wont do a complete arc correctly..I hate having to ask them back again, its been such a difficult task having them come back as it wasnt installed properly the first time and I had 6 weeks to wait until they could make another call back but I will certainly try.A little scared to try to move the dish myself so will see if I can get them back on the job.
Will keep you updated and thanks to all again.
Im just away to have one more go with the set up and will leave it at that for now..
Speak soon guys and thank you all again so much.
