DM600 + Gemini + Irdeto

Hey,

So I've got a Dreambox 600PVR with Gemini Image [I dunno which version, didn't install myself] and I've got an original Irdeto card for the ART bouquet.

Now what have I got to do to get it to work? I've installed CCCam/NewCS/Scam/RonaldCS/MgCamd loads of stuff, but I can't get any of the channels to work, any help would be greatly apprecited!!

Please reply ASAP!!!

Insert the smartcard with the chip down into the card slot WHILE THE RECEIVER IS UNDER SHUTDOWN STATE, then switch on the receiver, select CCcam and hopefully it will open the channels.
You can also try to check the entitlements from your PC.

Hello RUGRLN,
I am glad that you got it working. I know exactly how good this feels.
It should work with CCcam. Try connecting to the receiver using a browser then type http://Dreambox IP:16001 and it should give you a heading like
Welcome to CCcam 2.0.11 server
Then check the card entitlements.
There is no reason to take out the network cable. It is a good idea to connect to the internet this way so that you can add/update plugins using the blue button.

Alright, I'll try that, but it could be because the Irdeto cards have a pin [6962?], so maybe CCCam didn't have the PIN? I heard ppl have this prob, where should it be entered?

Yes. This might be the reason.
I wouldn't mess with the PIN number, but if you must, you can try to reset it to a default value like [0000]
If you have an Irdeto CAM and another receiver, you can change it using the parental menu.
There might be a better way using the CCcam cofiguration file.

For a simple editing, I usually do it directly from the receiver using Tuxbox Commander, then browse to the correct subfolder. Saves me the hassle of using the PC.
Install it from the Gemini server using the blue button.
There is a tutorial for it in the Idiot Guide.

Search for Tuxbox commander.
But first of all install it as instructed in my previous post.
