Installing & activating a USB flash drive

Hi HB13DISH,

Can you answer another question for me?

How do I activate a USB flash disk inserted into the USB slot on the back of the Dm7000?

I need a bit more disk space to store EMUS, cams and stuff and read in these forums that you recommended a USB flash disk for more space...

Can you help once again? Thanks!

Do you have a copy of FlashWizard Pro 6.3? If not grab it pronto and use the config/utilities tool in it to format the flash drive.

You will need the DB set up on your lan.

I have downloaded Flashwizard 6.3 today....

I assume I must have my laptop and DM7000 on the same network, and then flashwizard will connect to the Dbox and format the flash disk in situ?

I also have DCC for uploading images and ftp connections directly to the Dbox via my LAN.. will that also work?
