Problems with 7000-S replacement remote

I am having a lot of problems with mt 7000-S.
Can't get the remote control to work.
When I press various buttons the remote Dream key shows red flash but does not operate the box. the Remote is a replacement, original one Kaput.
D I have to programme the remote to work with the box? and if so does anyone know how?
Any help would be most appreciated.

You can buy an original remote from Germany or the UK. Possibly also from Spain.
If this is not an original, then surely you need to programme it using another original 7000S remote.
