Dreambox 7000S Card Readers

I am trying to see how the Dreambox 7000S card readers work.
I have latest CCcam installed.
Selected CCcam from the blue button then typed _http://dreamboxIP:16001
I got the CCcam server window opened in browser and under Entitlement I got a message that there is no card in both card readers.
Then I inserted a valid Seca card in both slots with chip facing down AND up, but still the same message.
I also tried another Viaccess card that is not valid any more and which worked before in one of the slots (can't remember which one or which direction of the chip was it inserted), but still nothing.
Please let me know:
1 - Which side the chip has to be (I am guessing that it should be facing down, as usual for embedded CAMs)
2 - What is the number designator of the card reader (0 or 1) for the top and bottom. Which is which?
3 - Do I need any other configuration setup in order for the card reader to work or just selecting CCcam should have worked.
4 - Does CCcam open Seca (Mediaguard) cards?
5 - Is there a similar procedure for other emulators (Scam, Mgcamd, in case CCcam will not work?

Thanks for your help.

Yes HB13, chip face down. And, yes CCcam can read seca cards as far as I know. I've seen it clear seca encrypted channels via a share.

Even an old card should give you some kind of info under entitlements, expiry date and the like.

Sorry I cant help more here, I am not familiar with boxes with more than one reader. For me (with my single reader) it was just a case of running CCcam and inserting the card.

My System: Dreambox 7020si,SIF 1.9.4- Dreambox 800HD Nabilo BH 0.12 Netgear adsl router, 98cm Funkee on Diseqc motor, Maintaining Hummy 5400 for the old man!

Chip face down id correct but if you are using CCcam 2.1.0 you must use the CCcam.cfg that goes with it.
In the latest cfg at the very bottom you will need to sellect the correct seca handler.

Thanks to willow on Nabilo for saving me the time to find this

# The seca handler is used to better support simulcrypt on the same ident
#
# With this setting you can change the behaviour of how SECA has to be used
# This setting is ignored unless SECA2/SECA3 simulcrypt is detected!!
#
# When disabled CCcam behaves like previous versions
#
# When "prefer SECA3 over SECA2" is enabled try to use SECA3 ecm first, then SECA2
#
# When "Ignore SECA2" is enabled, ignore all SECA2 ecm so a SECA3 card will not get SECA2 request which it cannot handle
#
# When "Ignore SECA3" is enabled, ignore all SECA3 ecm so a SECA2 card will not get SECA3 request which it cannot handle
#
#
# The following settings can be used
#
# SECA HANDLER: <value>
# <value> : 0 = disabled
, 1 = prefer SECA3 over SECA2, 2 = prefer SECA2 over SECA3, 3 = Ignore SECA2, 4 = Ignore SECA3
#
default: 0
#
# Example try to use SECA3 ecm first, then SECA2
#SECA HANDLER: 1
#
# Example try to use SECA2 ecm first, then SECA3
#SECA HANDLER: 2
#
# Example to ignore all SECA2 ecm so a SECA3 card will not get SECA2 request which it cannot handle
#SECA HANDLER: 3
#
# Example to ignore all SECA3 ecm so a SECA2 card will not get SECA3 request which it cannot handle
#SECA HANDLER: 4

Also sci0 is lower reader and sci1 is the upper card slot.

Thanks for all the replies.
I finally discovered how to get the card readers to work.
Important:
The smartcards should be inserted in the slots, when the box is under shutdown condition and then switch on the box.
My mistake was to insert the smartcard while the box was on, and then checked the entitlements from the browser.

I used an Aston Seca CAM v 1.05 in the CI CAM slot, but there is a problem encrypting the English audio sound track (no sound heard).
But with CCcam it works like a charm.

Well done CCcam team.
