Flash Image Vs Images

Folks,

I'm on Dream 7000-s with rel109.img in flash and gemini 2.20 in USB, which is what I use to view.

The blue button didn't have the latest k**s so I went looking and found gemini 2.6.

Flashwizard pro 5.0. -> Tried to install Gemini 2.6 on USB and noted my flashwizard pro was listing my flashimage as 2.6.9.
(installing gemini 2.6 fails at the last step "image setup and init")

I then went to h**p://www.dream-multimedia-tv.de/english/downloads.php to check the latest flash and found that this is rel108.img.

So I'm now confused. What is the latest flashimage version available and does rel108.img from dream multimedia have that? It's a while since I played with flashing and images but it would seem to me that rel109.img is newer than rel108.img???

Can someone explain the relationship between and image and a flashimage version, please? And whether it's OK to stick Gemini 2.6 in flash or should I stick with putting the latest available version from dream multimedia into flash and any other images elsewhere (hdd or USB)?

[TIP: backup your images and settings regularly :-) the backup I did today is somehow corrupted so I'll need to go back a few weeks for my past settings]

108 is official image. Put 109 back in flash and load back up gemeni 2.6, 2.7, or 2.8.(multiboot) keys loaded via blue button usually behind time. So best to install keys manually via ftp programme or DCC (Dreambox Control Center). Keys available daily off key sites. Sorry for the quick reply,But going to work soon.

With multiboot you must use the latest cvs image in the flash such as boxmans which came out yesterday.
You can then us ethe latest gemini 2.8 or pli emerald on you usb stick.

thanks guys. I zapped gemini 2.6 (xmas edition) into Flash straight off seems to work without the need for cvs or 109... (?). Multiboot working OK too.

But given there's a gemini 2.8 I'll do what you suggest for flash image and install 2.8 on stick.
