Fox Series screws the system clock

Everytime I select Fox Series, on 7W, the system clock goes 6 hrs 15 minutes fast.

A reset is needed to get back to normal time.

The basic clock settings are GMT -2, which is correct for where I live.

Any idea why this happens?

PLi Jade latest on 7020Si.

If You have the transponder as giving time strange things can happen

Changed that to internet time and see if it helps

There is no option for internet time, only system time/transponder time.
PLi Jade latest version.

I have selected system time and will check later, when I finish recording.

OK that seems to have done it.

How to get the time from the Internet for the box??

NO

Selecting System Time is a total disaster.
It takes me back to 1970 with no way to set the real time.............
So any timer settings go to pot.....

It has to be transponder time.....

Unless someone can give me a patch to pick up Internet time?

The Dreambox is connected to the internet, via my router
and I do use Internet tim on my windows setup for the main computer.

The tp timeclock is set wrong. A common problem on 28E - at least one of the Eurobird 1 channels was two hours out for months!

Changing to a channel on another frequency should have fixed it.

Perhaps someone read my post,
as the problem has gone today.

I would still like to know how to set up Internet time on the 7020si.

Under Windows XP I run a little programme called TClock and have it set to update
the time once a day from an atomic clock in the USA.

I believe Windows Vista has this feature builtin.

Otherwise the system clock drifts over a period of time.

I am on PLi and the only option is in SysInfo which I have installed.
This gives me an option to access a server in Germany for the time
on a "one off basis".

I am looking for something that will check the clock, say once a day,
automatically??
